Helio “Duda” Guerra is a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, A dedicated student and committed teacher with over 20 years experience, Guerra started his journey with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in his hometown of San Paulo, Brazil. After relocating to Los Angeles, Duda continued his study under Master Jean Jacques Machado for almost a decade. He received his 2nd degree black belt stripe from Master Rey Diogo in 2017 with whom he continues his practice.

Guerra’s exceptional ability to translate the art of Jiu Jitsu to people of all backgrounds, sizes and skill levels sets him apart from his peers.

Students of Duda’s have a diverse range; from children, tattoo artists and CEO’s, to conservationist Philippe Cousteau and World Series winner Nick Swisher. Guerra has also had the privilege of teaching the men and women of the Military, Private SecurityCorrectionsLos Angeles Police DepartmentLos Angeles Fire Department and more. A well respected private instructor and group teacher, he is forever a student of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
